What is Gimli?
Gimli provides professional browser extensions designed specifically for front-end developers working with Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap. These tools allow developers to visually inspect, edit, and fine-tune their CSS frameworks directly within the browser, eliminating the need to constantly switch between code and preview.
With a one-time purchase model, Gimli offers lifetime access to its extensions. The Tailwind CSS extension intelligently uses existing utility classes and supports custom configurations, while the Bootstrap extension adapts to different framework versions. A standalone playground is also in development for online front-end experimentation.

FAQs
-
Does Gimli Tailwind support my custom configuration?
Gimli Tailwind will try to use existing utility classes on the page, so custom classes will work. However, applying non-existing custom classes will not work and will give default classes. A future version may allow pasting your configuration. -
What happened to the Visual Studio Code extension?
The Kickstarter campaign for the VS Code extension did not succeed, and that version will not be developed further. The developer has paused work on it due to time constraints. -
When will the playground be released?
The playground is aimed for release in early 2027. -
Does the extensions support different versions of TailwindCSS and Bootstrap?
The extensions only modify sections you are actively editing, reducing compatibility issues. For Bootstrap, significant changes between versions can still cause issues, especially with older major versions.
