GoldSim
Dynamic Monte Carlo Simulation Software for Better Decisions in an Uncertain World

What is GoldSim?

GoldSim provides a powerful and flexible platform for visualizing and dynamically simulating the future behavior of physical, financial, or organizational systems. Users build models intuitively by drawing influence diagrams, allowing for diagnostic understanding, "what if" analysis, and evaluation of alternative designs, policies, and plans.

The software uses Monte Carlo simulation to quantitatively represent random variability and uncertainty, producing probabilistic predictions of future performance. As a hybrid simulator, it superimposes discrete events onto continuously varying systems, facilitating the simulation of large, complex systems while maintaining model clarity and ease of explanation.

Features

  • Dynamic Simulation: Visualize and simulate future behavior of physical, financial, or organizational systems using intuitive influence diagrams
  • Monte Carlo Simulation: Represent uncertainty and random variability to produce quantitative probabilistic predictions of future performance
  • Hybrid Simulator: Superimpose discrete events onto continuously varying systems for realistic modeling of complex dynamics
  • Hierarchical Modeling: Build top-down models that are easy to understand, navigate, and explain to others
  • Specialized Modules: Extend functionality with modules for financial modeling, reliability analysis, and contaminant transport

Use Cases

  • Evaluating alternative designs and policies in engineering projects
  • Conducting risk analysis for business strategies and financial planning
  • Modeling environmental systems such as water resources and hazardous waste
  • Analyzing reliability and failure risks in engineered systems
  • Simulating supply chain operations and business process management

Top 6 AI note-taking tools for 2026: in-person, online, and hybrid use cases

Most AI note-taking lists are really lists of meeting bots, which join your video call and transcribe it. That's useful, but it's half the picture. Decisions happen in hallway conversations, client dinners, on-site visits, and hybrid rooms where nobody is on a video link. This guide covers different parts of the note-taking workflow: hardware capture for in-person settings, platform-native tools for online calls, and AI layers for organizing and synthesizing what you've captured. It compares six tools by capture context, workflow fit, pricing, and limitations.
