What is DNS Max?
DNS Max was a dedicated DNS service provider that operated from 2001 to 2026, serving as a reliable DNS hosting solution during the early days of the modern web. The service maintained 100% uptime on its name servers throughout its entire operational period, providing stable DNS resolution for websites and online services.
The platform offered DNS zone management capabilities and included an export feature that allowed users to download their DNS zones in Bind zone file format for easy migration to alternative DNS providers. DNS Max stopped accepting new member signups in June 2023 and officially ceased operations in January 2026, recommending users transition to modern alternatives such as Cloudflare, Microsoft Azure, or Amazon Route 53.
