What is HyperCatcher?
HyperCatcher is a podcast application designed to enhance the listening experience through Artificial Intelligence. It automatically transcribes podcast episodes directly on the user's device using the Whisper model for local machine learning, allowing users to search or reference the text later. This feature operates in the background for convenience.
The tool includes an interactive feature called "Hey Jamie!" which enables users to request sources related to the ongoing discussion by pressing a button. Relevant links are displayed in the player and saved in an activity feed. Additionally, HyperCatcher allows users to capture snippets of podcasts, saving notes that include the last 30 seconds of the transcript and a direct link back to that specific moment in the audio.
