How secure is my company's data on Backup Space?
Backup Space by Gmelius protects your data throughout the data flows of the product, from account creation and integration through Google's OAuth service, to encryption of data in transit to servers (using browser-based TLS) and encryption of that data at rest, to a variety of administrative, physical, and technical safeguards designed to create a secure environment for our customers' data. We're SOC 2 Type II certified. -

Do I have to pay for archived Google Workspace users?
No, you don't. We don't charge for archived users and their data may be retained forever. -
Can I host backups on my own GCP instance?
Yes, this is part of our plan designed for larger organizations. Contact our Sales team at [email protected] to learn more about implementing Backup Space on your own GCP instance. -
Can I use my own encryption key?
Yes, our paid plans provide an option to bring and manage your own encryption key (BYOK) using Google Cloud KMS (Key Management Service). When the BYOK feature is configured, Backup Space will use the user's key to encrypt backup data, while the user maintains full control over the encryption key and can revoke access to backup data anytime.
