FAQs

What streaming and meeting platforms does StreamAlive support?
StreamAlive supports in-person, hybrid, and online live sessions. The online platforms it supports are: Zoom, YouTube Live, Google Meet, Twitch, Microsoft Teams, Restream (and all the supported platforms on Restream), StreamYard (and all the supported platforms on StreamYard), Webex, and Vimeo. New platforms are being supported all the time. -
What does number of commenters mean?
StreamAlive reads the chat and turns comments into visualizations like polls, word clouds, and more. Each individual that comments during an interaction is a commenter. Example: The Starter plan processes up to 50 commenters per session. If you had 70 individuals comment during an interaction, StreamAlive would only count the first 50. The other 20 people can type in the chat but their comments won't be included in the visualization. -
How does my audience participate in the polls and word clouds?
They type in the chat of the meeting or streaming platform you use! For online audiences there are no QR codes or links they have to click to open new tabs or windows. You keep the audience focused on your presentation, not on a second screen. For offline or hybrid audiences, we have a free browser-based chat which functions like the Zoom chat. Your audience can type in the chat to participate in the interactions and with other audience members. -
Do you have limits on the number of viewers on a livestream?
No. If you’re lucky enough to have tens or hundreds of thousands of viewers on your livestream then that’s not a problem. On the Pro plans StreamAlive will only count comments from the first 100 (or more, depending on your specific plan) viewers in audience interactions. If you have 100,000 viewers on your livestream but only a subset of those people posting comments, then please find the Pro plan suitable for you. -
Do you have a refund policy?
Yes, we have a 30 day refund policy. If you decide that StreamAlive is not for you, let us know. If you want to request a refund after 30 days it will be done on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us if you want to discuss a refund.
