  • Be specific, not vague
  • Include name or company when relevant
  • Avoid spam triggers (FREE, URGENT, etc.)
  • Test: Would YOU open this?

Structure

  • Short paragraphs (1-3 sentences)
  • White space between sections
  • Clear call-to-action
  • Easy to skim
  • Mobile-friendly formatting

Tone

  • Professional but personable
  • Match their formality level
  • Confident, not pushy
  • Helpful, not salesy
  • Brief but not curt

Timing

  • Tuesday-Thursday: Best response rates
  • 10am-12pm: Good open rates
  • Avoid Monday mornings, Friday afternoons
  • Consider their timezone
