Purpose

Explain the purpose of your skill. What problem does it solve? What capability does it add to Claude?

Be very explicit about when Claude should activate this skill. List specific trigger conditions:

Validation Checklist

• Supporting files are documented
• LICENSE.txt is included
• No hardcoded credentials or sensitive data
• Security best practices followed

Customization Guide

When creating your skill from this template:

1. Update frontmatter:

   • Change name to match your skill's directory name
   • Write a comprehensive description (1-3 sentences)
   • Set appropriate license
   • Update metadata fields

2. Replace all template content:

   • Remove this "Customization Guide" section
   • Replace all bracketed placeholders [like this]
   • Provide real examples and instructions

3. Structure your content:

   • Keep sections that are relevant
   • Remove sections that don't apply
   • Add custom sections as needed

4. Test thoroughly:

   • Verify YAML frontmatter is valid
